Mark Ekonen | Resume

An Alabama native, Mark graduated magna cum laude from North Carolina State University  in 2007 with a B.S. in history, before returning home to attend law school at the University of Alabama.  While at Alabama he worked on the Alabama Law Review, first as a junior editor, during which time he was honored by the managing board with the "Maynard, Cooper & Gale, P.C. Best Junior Editor Award," and then as a member of the law review's managing board as a Notes Editor.  Mark graduated from the University of Alabama School of Law cum laude in 2010, and then rounded out his legal education with a LL.M. in taxation from the University of Florida's Levin College of Law in 2011, where he wrote his master's thesis on corporate tax reform.  Mark was admitted into the Alabama Bar Association in 2010, and plans on sitting for the North Carolina Bar Exam in 2012.
